Comfort zones are strange place. It's so easy to fall in a trap of the same mundane life, day in and day out. We sometimes forget our dreams and ambitions. They get shadowed by money, drama and routine. Dreams and goals can be small or huge, whether it's getting a promotion at work or climbing the three highest peaks in the UK, it's your job to make it happen!

I worked in hospitality since I was 16, having various different jobs and roles. When I moved to Glasgow at the age of 18, I was at uni full time and got a part-time job at Costa Coffee. I hated what I studied at university. Studying Interior Design at Glasgow School of Art, wasn't what I expected, but I stuck it out and graduated. Whilst studying, I worked my way up in Costa to start my assistant manager training. I had taken a weeks holiday to escape the hustle at costa and realised this wasn't the life for me.
I wanted more out of my life and since losing weight, I had a passion for exercise and the idea to help people with the same struggles I had previously. This was the change I needed and I decided to quit costa, leave interior design behind and pursue a career as a Personal Trainer.
The fear of failure started to creep in and for me, this was terrifying.
**Accurate representation of me in any stressful situation**
Fast forward a couple of years and I landed my first job at a gym, working for this company was definitely exciting to begin with however, I knew I wanted more. I have been able to work at a few different big name gyms and each time I thought I had found my home. I understand now that there was always something missing, I had all these ideas and not much leeway to explore them, until now. I am thrilled to be completely self-employed, working out of AGFitness Training and growing my business day by day. So keep your eyes peeled, there could be some pink neon EmpoweringExercise lights someday ;)
Pushing through that safety blanket to challenge ourselves, to keep growing and to keep learning, is something I think we all struggle with. YOU create your own happiness. It's not up to anyone else, but YOU. If you are anything like me, you will think about all the negatives and they will start to consume you. Try to push through these and think what is best for you. Ask yourself these three questions...
Are you happy?
How much have you grown in the past year?
Are you living your life the way you want it?
It's important to keep challenging your mind and ask yourself these questions frequently to evaluate. If there is one thing CORONA 2020 has taught us, it is too slow down and strive to achieve more of a work/life balance. We want to enjoy our lives and not feel anxiety or stress whenever work is mentioned. Don't get me wrong, you sometimes have got to do the things you don't want to do in order to achieve your dreams and goals. Once you set your mind to it, there should be no stopping you.
Get out of your own way, to see the road ahead.
